Why use bones in your slow cooking? Alison Bower. BsC. Food , Nutrition & Health.

You would be doing yourself a massive favour this Winter,(and beyond), by using bones in those Slow Cooked soups, stews and chilli's!
Why? The long cooking releases natural collagen and gelatine so better than Botox for our skin , tissues, muscles and cartilages, also said to reduce cellulite.
The nutrients from bone marrow;(Iron, Essential fatty acids, zinc, manganese, Vits K & A ),are all released during slow cooking and are easy for us to absorb . Taste is also enhanced as your meal is enriched with wholesomeness.
Also bone nutrients are great for healing our digestive system with benefits for healing leaky guts. These powerful broths can boost immunity and help fight colds. Excellent anti inflammatory so fantastic for arthritis and inflammation.
Adding this super food into your diet is so easy. For the gelatinised broth like above you need to slow cook bones in water with a glug of apple cider vinegar, sea salt, pepper and healing spices for 12 to 24 hours. Strain and store in glass containers and use this for stock to enhance your cooking.
Or get an early start and slow cook your vegy soups, stew or chilli and just add some bones or ham ribs straight into the pot and allow the nutrients and flavours to infuse all day. It tastes amazing and the healing process begins.

So this summer ,I went to the holistic fair in Dundee and met Marek from Biorezonans Zycia, he specialises in bio resonance frequency technology. My background and fascination is sciences and I know everything has a frequency. Marek is ex pharmaceutical industry now Holistic Practitioner, he runs a low current through the body which picks up blockages, vitamin /mineral deficiencies and foreign bodies such as Parasites. After a question session I told him I have no problems except sleeping and night sweats ,and added, it would be my age and menopause. I also held back from telling him that I also thought I had swallowed something whilst wild swimming ! Marek was very impressed, I was in fantastic health. there was a disc on my back out a little but he also discovered a stomach and thyroid parasite . He asked if I eat raw river fish!!!! That's when I told him, about wild swimming. we discussed how I am more awake during the night more at full moon , again parasites will do this! Although I have done 3 parasite cleanses over the past 2 years and felt amazing. The symptoms return. I have not followed it long enough . Marek has put me on a herbal protocol do rid the parasites and I am following the fibre fuelled recipes. I suspect these parasites have been keeping me up and giving me menopause type symptoms. My biological age was 7 years younger than I am at present , and after the 12 weeks I shall be re tested to see how much younger I am again!!!!! Much less painful or expensive than fat jabs or surgery folks. Be wise. Fuel your body instead of starving it! This BLOG will continue to be updated to show you my healing journey.
