There is a common yeast that resides on us and in us named Candida. Our relationship with this yeast should be harmonious and candida's are kept in check by probiotic bacterium ,but due to certain lifestyles and other factors this yeast will become an opportunist pathogen and cause us all sorts of problems such as immune reactions, poor immunity, bloating, IBS like symptoms of constipation/diahorrea, painful wind, fatigue, migraines, sugar cravings, heightened PMT symptoms of mood swings, depression, recurrent nasal, throat congestion and much more!
Candida gets out of hand due to frequent use of steroidal drugs, antibiotics and alcohols depress the levels, oral contraception, stress levels, and a diet and lifestyle full of sugars, carbohydrates and yeast will allow this opportunist pathogen to thrive!
To help yourself kill off the yeast spores and boost probiotic levels in your guts change to a low carbohydrate /low yeast diet; boost your immune system with probiotics(Nutri advanced range), and a high quality multi vitamin and mineral and use anti fungals during your cooking such as garlic, oregano, basil and thyme. Daily live yoghurts, kefir & certain veg and fruits all help replenish and encourage probiotic bacteria to proliferate. So will some lifestyle adjustments.
